Rules

✔ OOC and IC should remain separate. IC drama is awesome, OOC drama is not. There will be things that you as a player will know know that your character will not know right away. Keep this line in mind and do not cross it.

✔ Do not godmod, metagame or powerplay. If you are unfamiliar with these terms, feel free to ask the mod. But really, be mature and don't be a dick and we will all get along just fine.

✔ Activity is important and required. We expect at least one thread per character every two weeks, and we do expect good to decent progress to be made on threads. Posting once and vanishing is not going to count, sorry.

✔ Please ensure that the Character Information portion of the games application is posted in your characters journal. This information is important as it lets other players know about your characters and potential story lines you would be interested in perusing.

✔ Writing quality is important and encouraged. We're not asking you to write like the great masters and we understand that typos and slips do happen. We just ask that you please run spell check, be aware of your grammar and give other players something more than two line tags to go off of. Third person writing style is expected, past tense is preferred.

✔ No more than three characters per player. Players who consistently fail activity checks will be asked to drop a character.

✔ Swearing and violence should be placed under a cut and with a warning. Sex is allowed, however all sex threads should be fade to black, you are free to continue any sex scenes off the community boards.

✔ Be aware we are using the end-of-the-series pairings as history for this game: Aang + Katara, Sokka + Suki, Zuko + Mai.

✔ The Avatar is a mod-controlled character. She is currently 17 and at the North Pole mastering Waterbending. No, you cannot play her.

✔ Characters can only bend one element, you cannot have an elemental bender who also has the ability of Chibending. If you want to play a Chibender, the character will need to be listed as a non-bender or a Chibender.

✔ Retcons (re-writing all or a portion of a characters history) will not be allowed without mod approval. Retcons will not be granted to change a characters bending element or to change lineage in order to allow for a relationship with another character of the same descent. Unlike real life, you get a chance to choose your ability and family here. Once you have chosen, just like in real life, you do not get to change it.

✔ Regarding canon ships, the movie cast, etc: Any player is free to feel however they want about any of these topics, we have no problems with opinions. However, if you are unable to keep a level head when discussing these things, please do not even bring them up. We realize that some people have very strong feelings about a pairing or the casting of a character, and we respect those feelings. We ask that you return this respect to other players who might feel differently or not as passionately about the topic. This ties in with IC/OOC separation, if you feel so strongly about any one thing that you are willing to sever ties with someone who feels differently, please do not discuss it. We are here to play a game and have fun with minimal drama, please keep this in mind.

✔ The mods reserve the right to edit, alter and/or expand these rules as needed as the game grows, expands and changes.
