That's perfectly fine. Creativity is wanted and encouraged, so please feel free to think outside the box.

Aang was only 12 when he defeated Ozai, and people seem to live pretty long in the Avatar realm. I based the current Avatar off of Aang living into his 70's or 80's, and the same with the Water Tribe Avatar. There's been no wars or major conflicts to result in untimely deaths, after all. So, if Aang lived to be 75, that accounts for 63 years, the current Avatar is 18 and still training, so together that makes for 81 years covered. That means that the Water Tribe Avatar lived for 69 years, give or take on how long Aang lived vs how long the Water Tribe Avatar lived.

That said, not all characters are only two generations removed from the original characters. I imagine Aang and Katara lived to see their grandkids, if not their great grandkids, for example. So, characters can easily be 4 to 5 generations removed from the original cast, depending on how early they had kids. As people in the Avatar world seemed to have children early-ish, and tended to live a long while, I tried to strike a balance.

And thanks, I spent ages digging for entertaining icons. Glad I'm not the only one amused by them!
