Avatar Aang lived a long and happy life, but at last the inevitable came to pass, the last Airbender was no more. Aang not only brought balance to the world when he stopped the Phoenix King, but he and his former rival, Fire Lord Zuko, took great strides toward ensuring that the mistakes of past generations would never again occur. Zuko made the Fire Nation Capital City of Awatan Sathit the center of the world, encouraging large numbers of people from the three nations to settle within its walls. The Avatar's wife, Katara of the Water Tribe, moved a large number of her people to live on a small island which Aang and Toph created a short distance from the capital City. Sokka of the Water Tribe and his wife, Suki of the Kyoshi Warriors opened a school for the training of warriors through hand to hand combat and weapons play, which Sokka insisted be named "Sword and Fan." Katara and her grandfather opened a Waterbending school, and Earthbending Master Toph moved to the Capital to open her own Bending Dojo.

Though the world was a peace, there was great concern over what would occur after Avatar Aang's passing. The Avatar cycle had been broken, the Air Nomads were no more, the four nations were now three. Much to the relief of the world, the next Avatar was born into the Water Tribe and the cycle continued... for now. One hundred and fifty years have passed since Avatar Aang's epic battle with the Phoenix King, and all seems right with the world to most. However, the Order of the White Lotus have begun to notice subtle stirrings in the world, tensions between the three nations over the possession of the former Air Nomad territories are beginning to mount, a new style of bending is slowly emerging, and the Avatar has not yet finished her training.

Are one hundred and fifty years of peace about to come to an end?
